Sat 11              Springwood/Sassafras Gully

Sun 12             Whale Watching -Kurnell

Depart club at 9.00am.Drive to Kurnell, Sir Joseph Banks Drive go to end turn right follow sealed road to end at car park. Do some bushwalks/whale watching club to provide B-B-Q lunch Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Sun 19             Kangaroo Valley

Depart club 8.30am drive to Kangaroo Valley meet at reserve town end of bridge. Canoes will be available for the adventurous to paddle down to the water board picnic area. Club to provide B-B-Q lunch. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sun 26             La Perouse

Depart club 8.30am drive to La Perouse, sightseeing around Cape Banks and some Wartime Bunkers, Picnic lunch, Easy 8 kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

JULY

MEMBERSHIP FEES DUE FOR THE PERIOD 1/7/05-30/6/06

Fees $20.00 this covers affiliation and Insurance. Uni Students membership, $10.00- need to complete application form & provide student number. Advise a friend to join and we will continue to grow

 

Sun 3               Girrakool ~Brisbane Waters National Park

Depart club 8.00am for the drive along old Pacific Highway to park. Cross Piles Creek via a small suspension bridge, inspect some aboriginal engravings. Bring Water Club to provide B-B-Q lunch. Easy/Med 6 kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Sun 10             Bike Ride -Bicentennial Park

Walk from Cabin to Govetts Leap proceed along cliff top to Pulpit Rock Easy/Med 10 kms picnic lunch or wait until we return to Blackheath.

Sun 31             Porters Pass Blackheath

Get your entry in for this fun day, 8.00 am Bus from Milperra Campus UWS to City, then get the hard part over and meet at North Bondi Public School for lunch and drinks. Cost $10.00 per person. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Sat 3                Mt Wilson

Depart Club 8.00am drive to Mt Wilson via Richmond. Mt Wilson village is renowned for fine gardens and tree lined streets. Bookings Essential Please advise and pay money ASAP) Accommodation is Bunkhouse style with 8 people to a room, 2 rooms have been booked, heated and carpeted.  Cost is $10.00 per head plus food and petrol. Thurs 29 - Mon 3            Alternate Lifestyle Festival near Lower Mangrove Mountain (1½ hrs north of Sydney).

 

Camping, bushwalks, workshops, hot tub, steam tent & great food. Cost is only $55 for the 5 days ($2 under age 16) (or approx $20 per day) and includes main meals, facilities, camping costs and GST. Depart club 9.00am drive to Berrima, if you wish stroll around the shops and enjoy the historical area, or for the others there are a few short walks around the old jail, in the nearby creek there is a good chance that we may see several platypus. Fri 14- Sun 16****Weekend -Port Stephens

A very beautiful area. Explore coastal walks, swim, canoe the waterways with the dolphins & watch the sunset with wine & nibbles from one of the scenic lookouts. Camping ($14/night) & cabins cost Backpackers $25 or $70 per double at Melaleuca Surfside Backpackers, Anna Bay. Book early by 25/09/2005 for option to sail on Imagine, a 61ft ocean going catamaran, & see some whales (3-1/2 hr cruise $49 members, $53 non-member, $44 student /Senior /YHA). Sat 29              Canyon - Claustral

Sat 5 - Sun 6            Newnes ~ Camp weekend

Promises to be an interesting weekend away. For those who wish to can get up there early Friday and set up camp. We will be involved with possibly two Canyons - Starlight, and Pipeline. For the others discover the Shale Ruins, Bushwalking or VEG out. Will need sleeping bag and all your meals, as you are 35 kms from any other amenities. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797
