Abseiling- For beginners or experienced, location to be determined depends on numbers. Rope fee applies $5.00 members, $10.00 non members.


Canyons- Hole in the Wall, Claustral, Tiger Snake, Kanangra, Kalang Waterfall, Grand - plus walk, Starlight, Pipe Line, a wet suit is required for most of these canyons.

 

JUNE

 

Sun 04             Taronga Park~Middle Head~Balmoral~Spit

Depart Club 8.15am for train to Circular Quay departs Panania 8.34am. Ferry to Taronga Park to commence walk, Picnic lunch and swim at Clifton Gardens, continue on via Georges Heights, Balmoral to Spit Rd for bus trip back to the city. Easy~9 Kms Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Alternate Lifestyle Festival near Mangrove Mountain

(1½ hrs north of Sydney)

Sun 18             Whale Watch Kurnell (Boat Harbour)

Depart club at 9.00am. Drive to Kurnell Sir Joseph Banks Drive go to end turn right follow sealed road to end at car park. Do some bushwalks / whale watching enjoy a B-B-Q lunch club to provide. Bring warm clothing, wine, crackers etc. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sun 25             Bondi Jtn~Maroubra

Depart club 8.15am for 8.34am train to Bondi Junction, Walk to Bondi Beach along ocean front, lunch at Coogee, nice fish & chips available. Finish at Maroubra and get bus back to City. Easy~Medium ~ 10 kms, Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797.

Sun 09             Tram Museum

Depart Club 10.00am drive to Loftus or meet at Museum. Enjoy the Museum then you can ride tram to old National Park Railway Station and do several bushwalks. Bring a picnic lunch Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sun 16             Shell Harbour loop

Bike rides, walks, B-B-Q Picnic Depart club 8.30am drive to Blackbutt Forest Reserve Shellharbour start walk ~ bike ride on the south side of Lake Illawarra walk ~ ride via Windang Bridge to Barrack Point, Shellharbour & Blackbutt Forest. Easy ~ Medium ~15kms. Contact Brian Beatson 9772 3774

Depart Club 8.00am. Drive to Stanwell Park Picnic Area. Park cars to commence walk via Blackbutt Forest go to top of escarpment for view over new “Seachange Bridge” Bring picnic lunch. Easy~Medium 6.5kms. Contact Larry Bourne

Depart club 8.30am drive to Cronulla. Commence walk along the Esplanade, travel around Cronulla Peninsula, enjoy views, seascape, and beaches, bring picnic lunch. Easy~6Kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sun 13             Sydney To Surf

Get your entry in for this fun day, 8.00 am Bus from Milperra Campus UWS to City, then get the hard part over and meet at North Bondi Public School for lunch and drinks. Cost $12.00 per person. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sun 20             Waterfall Loop

Depart club 8.30am. Drive to Waterfall Railway Car Park. Adventurous way to see parts of the bush, natural pools along the creek. Bring Picnic lunch. Medium~8kms. Contact Brian Beatson 9772 3774

 

Sat 26              Tiger Snake Canyon

This canyon involves 2 abseils, Great canyon no wet suits required. If you have never been before come and try. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sun 27             Spit~Manly

Depart Club 8.00-8.15am Train arrives Panania Station 8.34am arrives Wynyard 9.16am, 320 Bus (Be on time for Bus Connection at Wynyard Park Carrington St ) to Spit Bridge. Walk to Manly. Return from Manly by ferry or bus at your leisure. Easy 8Kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Depart club 8.30am drive to Picton to commence walk along the banks of Bargo River thru Tahmoor Gorge, Mermaid Pools and beyond Easy 10kms. Return to famous George 1V Inn at Picton for drinks etc.

Fri 17~Sun 19            Week End At Port Stephens

A very beautiful area. Explore coastal walks, swim, canoe the waterways with the dolphins & watch the sunset with wine & nibbles from one of the scenic lookouts. Costs/person/night: Camping ($14) Dorm (6 share) $25; Cabin (4 share) $30; Cabin (double/twin) $80 at Melaleuca Surfside Backpackers, Anna Bay.
