JANUARY

Sat 22                       Symphony Under The Stars

A relaxing social and fun afternoon and evening at a free concert in the domain. Concert starts at 8pm but will arrive from 2:30pm to reserve a good spot and socialise. Spot marked with red & white balloons. Bring food to share and jacket in case of rain. Contact Robert 0416 360 554

 

Sun 23                       Vaucluse To Watsons Bay Depart club 8.15am

8.33 am Train Panania to City, Bus to Rose Bay walk around shores of Sydney Harbour to Watsons Bay, Picnic lunch, walk around South Head back to the Gap, bus back to the City. Easy 8kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sun 30                       Heathcote to Heathcote Depart club 8.30am

Drive to Bottleforest Rd Heathcote commence the loop Walk via Karloo and other pools, enjoy a swim or just relax. Picnic lunch. Easy/Med 6kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

FEBRUARY

Wed 2                     General Meeting / Clubhouse Commences 7.45pm

 

Sat 5                       Grand Canyon/Walk & Canyon

Depart club 8.00am drive to Neates Glen Blackheath start walk, canyon is further along the walk, those doing canyon require wet suit, and others can continue with walk, bring picnic lunch, Easy/Med ~6kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sat 12/Sun 13       Weekend Camp Jervis Bay Bristol Point (Campsite BP 3)

Bookings ASAP. Depart club at 7.30am as drive is approx 2-2 1/2 hrs. Come and enjoy bushwalking, snorkelling and swimming or just a quite weekend with a book. Depart Club 8.15am. Train arrives Panania Station 8.34am arrives Wynyard 9.16am, 320 Bus (Be on time for Bus Connection at Wynyard Park Carrington St) to Spit Bridge. Walk to Manly. Return from Manly by ferry or bus at your leisure. Easy 8Kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Sun 27                    Box Vale Walk

Depart club 8.00am drive to Mittagong, walk follows the formation of an historic railway line & thru an 84-metre tunnel, bring torch. There are B-B-Qs available at the picnic area otherwise bring a picnic lunch and water. Easy ~15kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Sat 5/Sun 6           Weekend Camp Boudi Boudi National Park Campsites 13/14 Max 12 people. Bookings by 27 Feb.

Depart club 8.00am drive to park via Woy Woy crossing the Rip Bridge. Located on the northern entrance to Broken Bay some 20 kms from Gosford / Bring your bucket, spade to play in the sand/picnic lunch / Walk Easy 9.5kms. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

Sat 2/Sun 3            Canberra 2 Day Walk

Drive to Canberra Friday night Accommodation to be arranged by each entrant. Will need good pair of walking / jogging shoes as walks are 10, 20, 30kms (each day) depending on which one you enter. Return home Sunday afternoon after medal presentations.

Sun 17                    Palm Beach / Ettalong Ferry Trip

Depart club 8.00am sharp or meet at Palm Beach. Suggest 10.30am ferry from Palm Beach to Ettalong. Maybe do a walk, swim or just have a relaxing day, picnic lunch. Ferry (Timetable attached) $16.00 adult return, $8.00 Conc./Children. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797

 

Sat 23/Sun 24/Mon25 (ANZAC Day)                       Possible CONFEST Lower Mangrove area  ** Not Confirmed Yet.

This will be an alternative style camping festival. For those concerned, there will be naked people around the hot tub and steam tent (but if nudity offends you don’t have to go there). Sat 30/Sun 1 May          Weekend Camp Newnes

Promises to be an interesting weekend away. For those who wish, they can get up there early Friday and set up camp. We could be involved with possibly two Canyons - Starlight, and Pipeline. For the others discover the Shale Ruins, Bushwalking or VEG out. Will need sleeping bag and all your meals, as you are 35kms from any other amenities. Contact Larry Bourne 9774 1797
